Customer ReviewsThese things are addictive.I love these field guides! The photographs are fantastic, and are easy to navigate for quick identification. We enjoy looking at these books even when we aren't out scouting for new things to identify. However, this one should not have the "Spider" bit in the title. Woefully lacking content when wanting to identify even the most common of spiders. National Audobon Society Field Guide to North American Insects and Spiders Nice compact book, great pictures to easily identify insects, would recommend to anyone looking to identify any insect a person would come into contact with on an everyday basis. Great Resource Once you get used to the format of the Audubon Field Guides, they are very easy to use. Like all the Audubon series, this guide is compact, well-written, precise, comprehensive, informative, brilliant color plates, tough outer cover - what's not to like? Highly recommended. Good Book! I like this book but the only thing I do not like is that the pictures are in the front of the book and the information on the insect is in the back of the book. I would rather have the picture and information about the insect on one page. I Love This Book I refer to it at least a couple of times a week & recommend it to any other amateur. Bought this copy for my nephew, who also loves it. The illustrations & information may not impress an expert, but I find it well-organized & easy to use. I've never seen an insect that I couldn't identify by using it (tho' I live in LA, not exactly the insect capital of the world). Also-the photos are gorgeous! 46 reviews found.
